History

Cowboy Bail Bonds was founded in 1969

Cowboy Bail Bonds was founded in 1969 by Clyde “Buddy” Epps. His intent was to provide Kern County with prompt, reliable, honest, courteous, and confidential bail bond services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. It is our mission to follow the same principles of honesty, reliability, and the highest utmost personal services to our customers today. With over 40 years of reliable bail bonds experience, we are a highly confidential and professional bail bond service in Kern County. Remember “SERVICE” is our only product and we want to be second to none. Mr. Epps’ own words still resonate today as he often stated, “our main objective when dealing with the public is to arrange your release from custody in a prompt and efficient manner, causing you the least amount of stress as we meet your bail bond needs.”

Today, Steve Epps, Buddy Epps’ son, continues the legacy and core values of the Cowboy Bail Bonds Company while maintaining the same ideologies. Steve Epps, the predecessor of the company does not sit idle when dealing with his customers. Often, other businesses can become too engaged in bureaucracy, while forgetting their main purpose and goals. Steve Epps has not forgotten his purpose and has a proven record of honesty and professionalism with his customers. After all, he follows his father’s core values and footsteps regarding customer service.

These are the same principles that still exist in our bail bond business while we always maintain the vitality and mission of the Cowboy Bail Bond name:

  1. Respect all customers
  2. Honesty is essential
  3. Maintaining confidentiality
  4. Efficiency and reliability are an integral part of the business

Testimonials

Steve is a great guy! While I haven’t personally ever needed a bail bonds man, as his IT guy I’ve watched him talk to families and folks who need his help in a tough time with the law, and he’s professional, kind hearted, and attentive to their needs. Definitely recommend.
